All Ceramic Inlays and Onlays

People who have undergone root canal treatment (root canal treatment), whose teeth have become fragile due to cavities, or whose teeth have cracked, can use all-ceramic inlays to fill missing teeth. All-ceramic inlays are also called 3D tooth carvings. The dentist will customize ceramic inlays based on the location and size of the patient's damaged teeth, filling them like a three-dimensional puzzle.

Advantages of All-ceramic Inlay

· No need to grind teeth extensively

·Durable, wear-resistant, not easy to corrode or crack

· High compatibility with human body

· High light transmittance, visually closer to real teeth

·Life span can be as long as 10-15 years or more

All-ceramic Inlay Process

The dentist first conducts a three-dimensional scan of the patient's oral cavity, makes a cast of the structure, height and bite of the teeth, and then calculates it into a 3D tooth inlay shape, which is then handed over to the dental model team for processing. When the inlay is completed and the color and shape are confirmed to meet the requirements, the inlay will be inserted into the prepared tooth position. Fine adjustments will also be made along the way to ensure that it is completely embedded in the tooth.

How to decide to use all-ceramic inlays/all-ceramic braces?

The dentist will decide based on the scope of the tooth defect. If the tooth defect is large, it is generally suitable to use all-ceramic inlays to fill the missing part of the tooth. All-ceramic braces are suitable for cases with small tooth defects.
