Endodontic treatment, also known as root canal treatment, is commonly known as "Dental Root".

Why do you need Duya root?

The usual reason for the need for tooth root removal is pulp infection, that is, pulpitis. The pulp is surrounded and protected by enamel and dentin. When the external tissue of the tooth is damaged (such as severe tooth decay, cracks or even rupture caused by sports trauma, etc.), if bacteria in the mouth invade the pulp through cavities or cracks, it may cause inflammation and severe pain. When inflammation persists, pulpitis may develop.

Treatment Process:

The dentist will first give the patient local anesthesia, then make a hole in the tooth, and then use medical instruments to remove part or all of the inflamed or necrotic tissue in the pulp and root canal, and then thoroughly clean the root canal. The dentist will then use special root canal filling materials to completely seal the root canal to prevent bacteria from entering the root canal and causing inflammation again. After filling the root canal, fill the hole with filling material. It should be noted that patients usually need multiple follow-up visits for different treatment procedures.

Is braces necessary after dental root surgery?

If the tooth structure behind the tooth root is too fragile, the doctor will recommend inserting braces to protect the patient's own teeth (crowns) to prevent them from breaking when eating hard foods and allowing bacteria in saliva to infiltrate into the pulp cavity again.

Treatment purposes:

Prevent bacterial infection in the dental pulp from spreading to the periodontal tissue and alveolar bone, preventing them from being damaged or causing pulp inflammation, thus preserving the tooth and avoiding the need for tooth extraction.
